Naundorf has a train station and can be reached by the Döllnitz railway. First mentioned in a document in 1243, Naundorf has several historic sites to offer, such as churches in the districts of Hof, Hohenwussen, and Naundorf; a marvelous castle in Hof; as well as historical parks. The municipal administration is housed in the Altes Schloss (Old Castle), dating from the Renaissance period and located in Hof. In addition, the council and civic hall was reconstructed in an exemplary manner, with a unique coffered ceiling in the Middle Saxon Room. Another castle dating from the Baroque period now houses the school in Hof. A further highlight is the Jahna Valley cycle route, running through Hof and linking Riesa upon Elbe to the Baderitz Reservoir.
