The Modellmanufaktur Beckert (model manufacturer) was founded in 2007. It exclusively manufactures regional models true to original and true to scale, based on models from the Ore Mountains and South Saxony. The models are made from double-printed cardboard, with a stability comparable to that of thin plywood. Non-fading and waterproof print is applied to the individual arches, and all openings such as doors and windows have already been blanked out. The floors and various parts are made from plywood while the windows are made from veneering. Especially for narrow gauge railway enthusiasts, Modellmanufaktur Beckert looked around along many railway routes to recreate them entirely.
Not only station buildings, but also typical models such as residential houses, restaurants or business buildings are recreated. At the moment, Modellmanufaktur Beckert is working on the lines of the Preßnitztalbahn, Fichtelbergbahn and Müglitztalbahn railway companies, as well as the Thumer Netz and Zittau–Oybin–Jonsdorf railway networks.
